 Chairman Message:

Azhar Mehmood (2)

In Pakistan, when you think of education, healthcare, the environment and disaster response, the pivotal role of Non Profit Organizations (NPOs) stands out. NPOs have played a vital role and provided immense support to the federal and provincial governments in achieving their objectives. It is precisely because of this role, that the NPO sector is considered the “fifth pillar” of the State, which has been duly recognized by the government and the international community. The Rural Health and Development Foundation embraced the cause of development of underserved communities at the onset of 21st Century. During the last decade, the Foundation established schools, colleges, technical and vocational training centers, drinking water facilities and shelter houses in different areas of Sind, Khyber Pakhtoonkhuwa, Punjab and Azad & Jammu Kashmir. The Foundation firmly believes that an integrated approach is the key to the success of any program to combat poverty, so prevalent in rural areas of Pakistan. On behalf of the Foundation, I invite volunteers, national and international NGOs, federal and provincial governments, to join hands with us to make Pakistani society an educated, prosperous and happy nation with a bright future. God Bless You!
